The Iliac Stents Market size accounted for USD 1.15 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 1.23 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 2.22 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.8% from 2026 to 2035. Iliac arterial stent placement is a harmless treatment with favourable long-term patency, which drives the growth of the market.

What are Iliac Stents?

rn

Iliac vein stenting is an extension of arterial stent expertise. The stent remains in place and is intended to support keeping the artery open and prevent future tapering of the iliac artery. This stenting is a minimally invasive technology used to manage blockages or narrowing in the iliac veins, which are the huge veins located in the pelvis that return blood from the legs to the heart.  This technology is often used to manage a condition known as iliac vein compression syndrome. The process includes inserting a small, elastic catheter into the femoral vein in the groin and easing it up to the site of the blockage in the iliac vein via X-ray guidance.

Recent Advancements in Hormone Replacement Therapy:

rn

Recent advancements in metal self-expanding stents manufacturing from nitinol (NiTi) have shown shape memory and superplastic behaviours. Next-generation self-expanding stents are potentially advancing vascular intervention by addressing the limits of traditional balloon-expandable stents, specifically in complex, tortuous, or narrowing vessels. Advanced designs have evolved, some balloon expandable, but also self-expandable, based on the premise that nitinol-based designs conform more favourably than other metals to non-tubular vascular structures like bifurcations.

Market Segmentation Overview

rn
    rn
  • By product type, the self-expanding stents segment contributed the largest market share of 54% in 2025, as the application of a self-expanding stent is that it adapts itself to the shape and diameter of the injured artery and reduces the trauma inflicted on the vessel wall. Self-expanding stents are specifically well-suited for the superficial femoral artery because of their ability to adapt to the artery's dynamic environment.
  • rn
  • By material, the nitinol stents segment contributed the largest market share of 58%, and it is the fastest growing in the forecast period with a 7.2% CAGR in 2025, as nitinol is an advanced material to apply when making components for minimally invasive healthcare devices, like guidewires, catheters, and stents. Nitinol stents present minimal tissue reaction and low thrombosis rates, significant for preventing restenosis.
  • rn
  • By indication, the peripheral artery disease (PAD) segment contributed the largest market share of 52% in 2025, as peripheral stents offer a minimally invasive service to keep the arteries open and enhance blood flow, therefore alleviating PAD symptoms. Peripheral stents have been shown to offer long-term efficacy in possession arteries clear.
  • rn
  • By end user, the hospital segment contributed the largest market share of 68% in 2025, as stent grafts support the control of blood flow after an injury and stop blood from leaking out of the blood vessel and into the body. It is a minimally invasive substitute to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery. Because of this, there are fewer challenges and difficulties than in CABG.

Why North America Dominated the Market in 2025?

rn

In 2025, North America dominated the iliac stents market with a share of 38% in 2025, as the presence of advanced hospitals and favourable reimbursement policies facilitated the extensive use of costly and specialized stents. Advanced self-expandable stents that increase vessel patency and lower restenosis.

rn

Asia Pacific held 22% share of the market. expected to fastest growth with 8.2% CAGR during the forecast period, as rising cases of coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease, driven by deskbound lifestyles, are increasing the demand for stenting. Growing preference for minimally invasive vascular actions compared to traditional operations, which lowers recovery time and hospital stays.
