Alliance

Blue Cross (Asia Pacific) Insurance's partnership with four healthcare centers and the hospital is paving the way for the expansion of the healthcare and insurance sector. The partnership with Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre, Zhongshan Chen Xinghai Hospital, United Family Healthcare, and Heal Oncology under New Frontier Group has enabled healthcare services to be offered to entitled customers in the Greater Bay area. The agreement provides accessibility to medical consultation to group medical insurance holders and BlueCross individuals. Also, access to the surgical procedures at UFH’s Guangzhou, Zhongshan Chen Xinghai, and Shenzhen hospitals has been enabled.

Further, under the agreement, doctors will manage direct billing applications and pre-treatment assessments. This will eliminate patients' stress of upfront payments, as it will generate bills according to the treatment received and initiate direct billing to the patients. The collaboration also ensures to enable oncology treatment and diagnostic imaging for cancer patients from HEAL Oncology and HKIOC in Hong Kong, along with cross boarder care option. The centers will provide full-fledged services.

Contribution

BlueCross will contribute to cancer patients by providing medical consultation for cancer diagnosis to policyholders. The skilled customer service team has been appointed to guide and respond to enquiries. The benefit also consists of concierge-style hospitalization services from UFH and a single free dental cleaning for eligible policyholders.

Change

The contribution leads to a major change and advancement in the healthcare sector. The partnership will strengthen the medical ecosystem. It will also engage more healthcare providers to expand into cross-border treatment and care. The agreement between the BlueCross insurance company and healthcare centers initiates precision in billing and assessment to smooth the operational process. This is a two-way expansion for hospitals and insurance companies as well. The healthcare policies are in rising demand, which requires hospitals to respond quickly to emergencies.
