FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc., popular in photoacoustic imaging systems and ultra-high frequency ultrasound, launched the Vevo F2 LAZR-X20 photoacoustic imaging platform. It is a new development in preclinical ultrasound. The system consists of intelligent laser technology to advance and improve tissue characterization with appropriate preclinical and anatomical models. This is an advancement in the healthcare market that will increase demand for technology in suitable healthcare sectors and applications.
The accelerating global healthcare market is expanding its reach through services, facilities, and technology. It is expected to reach $44.76 trillion by 2032. This new advanced system (platform) will fuel the infrastructure and management as well. The effective use of technology significantly enhances healthcare quality and patient safety. These efforts are the solution and an addition to the healthcare sector.
The new advanced laser technology in the Vevo F2 LAZR-X20 provides exposure to the real-time resolution and an improvement in imaging. This technology helps researchers to measure and visualize contrast agents and several tissue types. The system accelerates the wavelength of 660-1320 nm, which discloses the capabilities to advance tissue characterization. It will discover and integrate new reach with the company’s previous technologies.
Tissue chromophores such as collagen and lipids come under absorption profiles, which can be identified non-invasively. This helps researchers to visualize the tumor microenvironments and discover effective and efficient therapies. This launch will make way for discoveries and deeper insights.
Vice President, global high frequency, FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc., Greg Nesbitt said, “FUJIFILM VisualSonics has been providing high frequency ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging solutions to the scientific research community for more than two decades. As a leader, we take this as an opportunity to expand questions that are answerable through photoacoustics. The Vevo F2 LAZR-X20 stabilizes our commitment to continue innovations that will introduce new applications and their ability to expand its research domain.”
Director, Product innovation, FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc., Andrew Needles, said, “This smart product is an advancement to our portfolio, along with the integration of photoacoustics with ultrasound imaging in a single platform. The new system delivers an advanced quality image and an extensive spectral range. This will enable comprehensive data for the researchers contributing to their imaging studies. This advanced technology will improve current research and discover potential to introduce new applications mainly in neurobiology and oncology.”
