The top tech industry leaders at the white house this week promoted First Lady Melania Trump’s new artificial intelligence program introduced to train American students in AI skills. On this Thursday, the OpenAI, Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft executives stood with the first lady, promising billions towards the training, equipment, and resources. This step will mark the prominent symbol of cooperation between the trump administration and Silicon Valley since 2017. Also, the chief executive of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, introduced its long-term plans to move the company’s Copilot AI into US schools. On an immediate basis, all American college students received free access to this popular emerging technology. K-12 students and teachers will implement this technology in their study structure within two years. The leading tech committed $4 billion in cash, training, and services for the next five years. Nadella quoted these efforts as ‘empower the next generation’, retaining its global partnership with educators and schools.
Following this, Amazon also contributed to this push. The company promised to provide training to 4 million individuals in AI skills, offering $30 million in AWS cloud credits in American schools, and contributing $10,000 to educators. The company leaders claimed that the move links best with Amazon’s vast effort to support workers with adjusting to AI and automation in the workforce. Co-founder of OpenAI, Sam Altman, has also introduced new certification programs and a jobs board. The month seems to be starting with enlarging the AI regimes into this transforming and highly competitive era.
The term ‘responsible’ has attracted tech leaders, and the curious minds of every market leader will instantly head towards Melania Trump’s idea. A promotional strategy is believed to work in fruition and contribute largely to the AI sector. She highlighted the need for understanding the awareness of caution, like dangerous events of hazardous applications, such as revenge porn and deepfakes. Elon Musk, an owner of xAI, was invited, but he sent a representative in his place. Musk’s relationship with President Trump is quite complicated, visible in recent months, since he advised a divisive government task force for efficiency purposes.
Melania Trump said, “she has backed out form taking it Down Act, which forced platforms to back their non-consensual AI-generated content in 48hours. It is important to teach students regarding the righteous and ethical use of AI, as it has provided them with the technical skills.”
