Ambassador MAGOSHI Masayuki has unveiled Japan’s strong step toward supporting the recovery of the health sector in Lebanon as well as underscoring the initiatives to offer the required health infrastructure for the dispensary. This reference was made during the handover ceremony. This initiative is commitment of Japan’s to rising primary healthcare requirements. The project, which gain support via the Grant Assistant for grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) also held under the auspices of the Lebanese Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nassereddine.
Ambassador MAGOSHI has emphasized the ongoing investments by the Ministry in the primary healthcare sector as a major pillar for early-stage diagnosis, offer preventive care, and reducing costs accord due to hospitalization.
Director of the Karagheusian Association, Serop Ohanian, has thanked the Japanese government for its crucial support and efforts to highlight the novel equipment to significantly improve the Karagheusian’s Center’s ability of offering and serve vulnerable families in Bourj hammound. Serop Ohanian is thankful to Japan’s collaboration in enhancing access to quality healthcare and supporting community well-being and good health.
In May 2022, the Ambassador of Japan provided support to Bebanon to extend handover of solar photovoltaic (PV) hybrid systems to two governmental hospitals, and medical equipment & supplies to 16 government hospitals. This support was offered through funding from the Japanese Government and implemented by UNOPS in 2022. The extension also includes the Baabda government University Hospital in Mount Lebanon.
