Announcement

The modern era, which is experiencing and adopting computational techniques and deep biological knowledge, expects a change in rejuvenating the concerned area, as aging has been a core concern for every individual due to various reasons, such as professional appearance, acceptance, or the need for healthy skin. The skin products are ruling over many individuals seeking public validation. The healthy skin is a tick and a focused target for six startup biotech companies. The overall scientific perspective emphasizes the importance of aging. Healthy skin requires equivalent care to prevent unnecessary stress.

Biotech industries with strong investors and advancement are as follows:

Altos Lab

A California-based Altos lab is a popular player in the longevity area. The lab explores various ways to restore cells in their respective states, which is a sign of a strong competitor. The research from Kyoto University professor Shinya Yamanaka was a breakthrough in inducing pluripotent stem cells. Later, Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, an adjunct professor at UC San Diego, continued by fueling this finding, highlighting the reversion of stem cells. Yamanaka and Belmonte are a subsidiary of Altos.

BioAge Labs

BioAge Labs is another player in the longevity space. After various investments and a partnership with Novartis BioAge strengthens its presence in the global market. By introducing various therapies regarding diseases related to aging, this partnership was a remarkable work. BioAge is a discovery platform that rose from the longitudinal human data and has supported longevity pathways with its potential medication, enhancing the health outcomes.

Halia Therapeutics

Halia Therapeutics withstands and focuses on the CEO’s Dave Bearss, saying ‘inflammaging’. The inflammaging of low inflammation, chronic that points to various physiological understanding of aging. Covering factors like protein imbalance (start point of aging), dysfunctional (damaged) cells, and loss of stem cells. Bearss explains inflammaging as a ‘unique mechanism that reduces age-related problems’. Halia’s work towards stopping the interaction between NLRP3 and NEK7, a main event in the inflammatory area.

Life Biosciences

Life Biosciences validates clinical trials of the company's approach to aging solutions. The Boston-headquartered biotech is aiming to shape the base of the aging factor by focusing on epigenetics. The partial epigenetic reprogramming platform is introduced to restore cellular function by forming an epigenetic landscape. The PER technology has permitted Life bio to reverse the molecular hallmark of aging, also to address target cells. Insilico Medicine and Rubedo Life Sciences are also contributing the most to the longevity space.
