Chhattisgarh government signed a MoU with five powerful national and international institutions to improve the state’s healthcare system and improve overall state’s healthcare delivery. The agreement was formalized at Mahanadi Bhavan in Nava Raipur by Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.
The Health Minister also stated, “With this collective effort, we aim to position Chhattisgarh as a leading state in national health indices and deliver services that are efficient, transparent, and compassionate.” United Nations Development Programme is assigned to provide strategic and technical assistance to the state’s immunization programs.
World-renowned healthcare facility AIIMS stated to support improvements in maternal and child health care. Center for Catalyzing Change will look into adolescent health under the National Adolescent Health Programme. Bihar Voluntary Health Association is responsible for implementing targeted health interventions. NIMHANS is allocated the responsibility to oversee the expansion and reinforcement of mental health services in the state.
The agreement is expected to enhance the state’s healthcare facilities and also help the people in remote regions to avail the benefits of the same. The amalgamation of the state’s healthcare facilities with global platforms is expected to enhance the medical services and lower healthcare issues observed in the state due to medical negligence and unavailability of basic medical facilities. The agreement is also expected to enhance medical technical support to allow the systems to reach people easily and handle their data safely as well.
The partnership is also expected to improve structural capacity, service access, digital health systems, and human resource development, of the medical domain. Expectations such as reduced infant mortality, improved transparency in health delivery, and improved services in remote regions of the state, are also on the peak from the signed agreement.
