Announcement

Taipei City Government will be announcing its partnership at the BIO International Convention (BIO2025) at the annual biotech event, which will be held Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from June 16 to 19 (US time). The six Taipei-based biotech companies are Instant NanoBiosensors Co. Ltd., Energenesis Biomedical Co.Ltd, Bened Biomedical Co.Ltd, PanCAD AI Co.Ltd, Xantho Biotechnology Co.Ltd, and Cancer Free Biotech Ltd. These companies will highlight their innovation at the Taipei Pavilion (Booth #1645) in the Taipei exhibition area.

What Regional Developments are Influencing the Healthcare Market?

Biotechnology plays a crucial role in Taiwan. It is an economic, financial, and political hub and one of the strategic industries of Taipei. It is also a center for innovation and science. Taipei is a center for global medical research and a popular academic and research institution. These centers and institutions are supported by biomedical experts. Taipei provides a comprehensive infrastructure, government support, and a sound regulatory environment for initiating development in the innovation and biotech sectors. The six biotech companies representing Taipei at BIO 2025 will showcase and introduce various fields such as precision cancer medicine, regenerative therapeutics, cancer organoids, plant-based novel drugs, early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, Psychobiotics, and AI-powered early detection of pancreatic cancer. These fields show the potential and innovation of Taipei’s biotech ecosystem.

Companies and their Innovations

PanCAD AI’s ‘PANCREASaver’ is an automated AI-powered pancreatic cancer detection system that focuses on pancreatic cancer. This technology has received approval as a medical device from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration and also from the US FDA. The Instant NanoBiosensors focuses on precision medicine with its proprietary microfluidic chips and first-ever fiber optic particle plasmon resonance (FOPPR). This platform is adopted by Amsterdam UMC and provides a diagnostic tool in the EU-funded Tau-Immune project. Additionally, INB launched INLab NGS, which is a precision medicine solution for leukemia that combines hardware and software platforms. Bened Biomedical company conducts clinical trials for anxiety, autism, parkinson’s disease, and stress. Bened is a part of the first medical probiotic in the US, mainly for the neurodiversity community.

CancerFree Biotech is known for its proprietary 3D cancer cell culture system, also known as Ex Vivo Avatar (EVA). EVA merges AI image recognition technology with 3D cell culture scaffolding. The Xantho biotechnology introduces effective and safe topical treatments for atopic dermatitis. The leading product, GMXANTHO, has completed its clinical trials and received approval from both the TFDA and the US FDA. Energenesis Biomedical is known for its ENERGI platform to activate and regulate the self-healing mechanism of cells to provide therapies.
