Speaking at the valedictory session of the 23rd edition of BioAsia 2026, D Sridhar Babu called it the most successful edition to date. He noted it created pathways to global partnerships and fostered innovation in AI, automation, cell and gene therapies, and advanced manufacturing.
This year saw strong international participation, with companies from France, Indonesia, the USA, and Novartis recognizing Hyderabad as a major hub for investment and innovation.

It will also help provide better healthcare solutions for patients around the world.
The Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) launched the Telangana Hospital–Industry Innovation Bridge at BioAsia 2026.
D Sridhar Babu formally inaugurated it to boost Telangana’s role in healthcare innovation, translational research, and medtech manufacturing.
The launch of the Telangana Hospital–Industry Innovation Bridge drew distinguished representatives from top healthcare institutions across Telangana.
The programme is designed as a structured bridge between clinics and industries, aiming to go beyond traditional partnerships.
It embeds clinical and industry immersion pathways to strengthen Telangana’s healthcare innovation ecosystem.
The initiative will provide a hands-on learning environment where clinicians, medical students, researchers, start-ups, and industry leaders can collaborate. It includes curated exposure visits and platforms to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
The pilot phase of the Hospital–Industry–Innovation Bridge will begin with select institutions and expand state wide. It will create strong connections between healthcare delivery, innovators, and industry.
Sanjay Kumar said the initiative will strengthen Telangana’s innovation pipeline.
It will also reinforce the state’s position as a leading life sciences and healthcare innovation hub.
