Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic Launch 10-year Strategic Alliance to Enhance Care Through Clinical Innovation and Advanced Imaging
Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic have expanded their 35-year relationship by launching a 10-year strategic alliance focused on advancing diagnostic imaging, radiation oncology, and clinical workflow innovation across the global health system.
Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic are increasing their 35-year association through a novel 10-year strategic alliance intended to foster healthcare and workflow innovation that further improves patient care and operational effectiveness in the health system's locations. Through this strategic alliance, the companies work together to build on Cleveland Clinic's leadership in diagnostic imaging, cardiology and radiation oncology, offer clinical teams novel devices and well-developed training, and create a more targeted experience for patients.
Under the strategic alliance, Siemens Healthineers offers multiple diagnostic imaging and therapeutic technologies to Cleveland Clinic, involving magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, radiation oncology, X-ray, and interventional radiology. Furthermore, Siemens Healthineers is increasing its existing team of more than 30 employees intended to support Cleveland Clinic. The on-site presence will include technicians and training personnel, bringing expertise to support Cleveland Clinic's advancement of a theragnostic cancer-treatment program, an evolving approach that combines targeted imaging and therapy to targeted cancer care.

Supplementary regions of collaboration involve supporting the establishment of Cleveland Clinic as a Center of Excellence for MRI technologist education, including offering expertise in continuing clinical education, protocol optimization, technologist skill advancement, radiation-safety education, and support for doctors in increasing the use of CT in cardiology, radiation therapy, and image-based technology.
The strategic alliance is expected to create opportunities for research, education, workforce development, and a foundation for invention in the integration of intelligent software and automation in the imaging workflows. Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic are increasing future initiatives focused on biomedical engineering training and healthcare education geared toward workforce advancement, both at Cleveland Clinic and in the superior Cleveland region.
